Tim, Worship last night was awesome. I’ve heard that from several people too. It was like sitting in your home listening to you share from the word. Didn’t want to leave at the end of the service, but just soak up the presence of the Lord. It was a great combination of music, video, and prayer. And your taped portion worked really well..it was nice seeing you relaxed and sitting down like we were all together in a living room somewhere. Kirk
You said in worship last night that the most important thing we as Christians are to do is bear fruit. This carried over into our Singles discussion tonight in the Boundaries class as we concluded that we all need to look at the decisions we make from the perspective of “will this lead to fruit.” Such a simple statement with such profound consequences. Thank you for bringing a great message.

Thanks Pastor Tim!!! Once again you have stirred my soul with your sermons. Thanks to you I have been struggling with the term “contentment” for the past few weeks. Here are my current thoughts:
I initially equated “contentment” with complacency in a status quo and I shun this concept both in my “walk by the Spirit” and in my journey in sobriety. However, I have come to the conclusion that I do feel a “contentment”…a spiritual peace and serenity…when I know I am doing things that cause me to grow spiritually…things that are driven by divine help in my progressive sanctification. It’s a journey of constant change not a destination…“progress not perfection”…growing more Christ-like. On this journey I MUST carry The Message of the Gospel, salvation, and sobriety. I MUST also help others when and where the opportunity presents itself to apply and use my spiritual gifts.
I empathize with your expressed concern over your “spots” that are being watched. Many of your “flock” have health issues that are potentially life threatening. I have had a 30 year struggle with arteriosclerosis…bypass surgery angioplasty, artery stints …and have been told they have run out of places to put them. Medicine, diet, cardio-fitness, and prayer are not a cure…but each day I am still alive I “report for duty” and try to do what God has planned for me…just like you do…and I find an indescribable joy in doing that. I also struggle with alcoholism and drug addiction…but I have a daily reprieve based on the maintenance of “spiritual condition” …my relationship with Christ.
…so you and I and others in your “flock” can be “content” in just being able to “report for duty each day”.
Pastor,
I just read all of your blogs and loved, loved every one of them. You know how I love to write so your writing inspired me to maybe start using wordpress as my morning journal. I will pray about it.
Thanks for sharing from your heart, one that beats in tune with its Creator.
We have been visiting for the last month, we are looking for a new church family, I spoke with you briefly and have not had an opportunity to call and make an appoitment to come and speak with you. I will do so as soon as my schedule permits. I want you to know that I feel the annointing on you. I also see you repsonding to the holy spirit. I know you feel his presence, I believe your music minister feels his presence I feel his presence. God inhabits our praise! I look forward to speaking with you.
Long overdue follow-ups on my blog. I so appreciate your kind remarks and would look forward to meeting with you. Since it is now August, and your posting was dated in March, hope you can make time soon! Blessings and peace to you.
Pastor Tim, who wrote the quote/essay you used this morning in service? It was a quote that included “I want to look into your eyes and know that I mattered.” I believe it referred to marriage. I really liked it and would like to send it to someone I know. Thank you. -Daniel

Pastor Tim, Gail and I really enjoyed your message today, 12/25/11. We watched on our computer while spending Christmas in Cambridge, Minnesota. We missed being at FCB, but really are thankful we can be connected through the internet. Have a blessed Christmas! Ron & Gail Cockerham

I am not a member, but have attended your services a dozen or so times in the past 6 months. I attended this mornings service (2/26/2012) wiith a heavy dose of sadness over a recent event in my life. Thank you so much for your message this morning. You we’re spot on when you said that I may never know the answer to: Why Me? And more importantly the Why doesn’t matter. Your message lifted my spirits and made me appreciate that God trusted me to go through this experience.
Wow friend. Just saw this. Thank you for your shared encouragement. I pray you will continue to find “light”
for your journey just now. Lots of folks broken these days. Hope we can help share your load.
