Great to read your blog. My prayers are with you in the coming weeks especially dealing with the convention after what you shared last night at the deacons meeting.

I like reading ANYTHING you have to say! You know you will always be my “preacher man”.
My family and friends know that you will always be my boss of the century. Love to you, Pam, and family. Mary

Great to read your blog, and thank you for writing on such contemporary topics. Wow, I didn’t even know who snookie was.

Pastor Tim,
Does this mean our only prayer should be for knowledge of God’s will and the strength to carry it out?

I think our first approach to prayer should be the stance of “what would God have me to do?” To do that, we must discern what it is as well as what it will
cost us. All of this, I believe, filters in to surrendering our will to the will of the Father. However, rather than seeking to decide task by task whether or not
we will do what God would have us do, we surrender first of all and most of all to the heart of the Father, even when we are uncertain of the way His hand
will lead us. This is the safest way, and the way to surrender that Jesus modeled. I think He knew that drinking the cup would be horrific, but I’m not sure even then that Jesus saw in detail what was going to be required. He simply trusted the Father’s heart.

We really enjoy your sermons every Sunday. We are Richard’s parents and are at home at this time because of ALS. Your blog on Africa was great in The Vine.
We really enjoy the little humor you throw in in the sermons. You definitely know how to capture and keep our attention. Thank you so much for preaching the gospel. You are one of the best preachers of all times.
In Christian love,
Tommie and Tom
