This is the list that I shared at the end of today’s service. I am unaware of who originally put this together or I would gladly give credit. I have taken some liberties with several of the phrases that I felt fit better. I have heard this done by a little guy in a Lutheran church on Godtube, and by David Hughes, pastor of Church by the Glades in Coral Springs. Wasn’t this recited in “God With Us”? with Don Moen…. or it was “God In Us” maybe. It IS a very moving list of who Jesus is. Would be interested to know how the 11:00 service responded. Thanks for sharing it with us today!

A similar list was, but not this one. There’s a bunch of these floating around out there…I remember reading that in the Moen musical though. God With Us? The 11:00 folks were very enthused about it. Ken texted me from Jordan and said, “they clapped and you STOPPED preaching?” Lol

The New Testament writers were well schooled in their understanding of the Old Testament Scriptures. Any loose ends of the Old Testament were tied together in the Gospels and in the creation of Christianity and Christian Doctrine by the former Saul of Tarsus.
God in Trinity is manifest throughout Scripture. That which has existed from before the beginning of time and that will exist after the end of time would not allow Himself to be amorphously identified in His Holy Word.
The Word has but one author who spoke through the writers of Scripture. The writers were chosen by God because they were the part of His creation to best present the message.
I think the Old Testament closed about 2,400 years ago. The New Testament closed about 2,000 years ago. I sometimes wonder if Revelation is God’s final word or whether He has more to say. Just a thought.
Merry Christmas!

I was so touched when you read that Sunday. I had been thinking on the meaning of Emmanuel, God with us. How he is with us, has been with us and forever shall be with us… and was even thinking of that list and then you read it. Thank you. If you would like to see a neat graph/chart about it, there is one at http://www.jesusplusnothing.com/jesus66books.htm
I have not personally checked out all the references tho. Just found it interesting with more detail.
